La envidia, la codicia, la avaricia y otros pecados son sólo el cóctel molotov emocional que nos conduce hacia el tipo de entramados difíciles de desbloquear que suelen establecerse en cualquier tipo de ambiente en el que un grupo de seres humanos con intereses contrapuestos se vean forzados a relacionarse entre sí. La forma de interactuar en ese caldo de cultivo de intensas emociones se corresponde, paradójicamente, con patrones que se repiten cíclicamente y de forma instintiva, de igual forma que las abejas o las golondrinas se reparten sus tareas diarias.
Envy, greed, avarice, and other sins are just the emotional Molotov cocktail that leads us towards the kind of difficult-to-unblock frameworks that tend to be established in any type of environment in which a group of human beings with different interests are forced to relate to each other. The way people interact in such a breeding ground of intense emotions paradoxically correspond to patterns repeated cyclically and instinctively, as bees or swallows do in their daily lives.

El proceso
The process
«Imago» es una historia sobre el entorno laboral. Pretende ser una metáfora del imago, que es la fase adulta de un insecto que atraviesa una metamorfosis. Es una especie de fábula sobre cómo sobrevivir en un ambiente laboral hostil. Cada espectador puede identificarse con alguno de los personajes y reconocer en ellos las grandezas y miserias del ser humano. Tomé la decisión de rodar el corto en 35 mm por cuestiones estéticas y aprendí a rodar con celuloide. Aciertos: la calidad técnica. Errores: el guión, que resultó algo críptico.
«Imago» is a story about labour environments. It is intended to be a metaphor for the imago, which is the adult phase of an insect going through a metamorphosis. It’s a sort of fable about how to survive in a hostile work environment. Viewers can identify themselves with any of the characters and recognize in them the greatness and miseries of human beings. I made the decision to shoot the short film in 35mm for aesthetic purposes and I could learn to shoot using celluloid. Rights: its technical quality. Wrongs: the script, which happened to be sort of cryptic.
